• PMSSteriTest Helix PCD Test (process challenge device) is used as a daliy test for pre-vacuum hospital sterilizers and for bench top steam sterilizers Class B for steam penetration and inert gases. The Helix PCD test is an excellent test to detect even the smallest amounts of inert gases and steam penetration capabilities.
• The EN 867 Part 5 is describing a Helix PCD based steam penetration test as an alternative for the Bowie &  Dick Test for bench top steam sterilziers Class B The EN 285 is specifying the Helix PCD test for hospital steam sterilizers when it is mainly used to sterilize hollow loads.
• PMSSteriTest Helix PCD test is not replacing routine monitoring of sterilization cycles. This should be done by lot control sets and/or with inpack integrators.

• Class 4 Dual Strips monitors critical parameters to ensure proper sterilization has accrued during the steam
• sterilization process. The Dual Strips designed for use in all steam sterilizers. Long stripe of chemical indicator ink
• printed on perforated-style strip allows full- or half-length use for different pack sizes. For rigid sterilization loads
• there should be at least 2 test strips diagonally opposite in each corner to ensure that the cycle has reached all
• areas of the machine.

• Class 6 Emulating Indicators are cycle verification indicators that confirm the presence or absence of specific time
• and temperature parameters during a cycle and integrate all the critical parameters of the steam sterilization
• cycle. Emulating indicators can be placed inside each pack or pouch during sterilization of supplies or equipment
• in a validated pre-vacuum cycle. These emulating indicators can be used for routine monitoring of steam
• sterilization cycles.
